Wiper motor question....
OK...my wiper switch on the steering column would only work when I put the wipers on high. I assumed it was the switch. Well finally the switch didn't work at all and so I tested just the motor....wired it to a toggle, and it draws current when I add the ground but the motor doesn't activate. You can hear the fan go low because of the power the motor is taking. So I'm assuming the motor itself is bad...since it should work with a power and ground going to it.
I broke the switch off of the steering column, so it's no good now....and I was wondering if the wiper motors were the same for turbo and non-turbo models. I was going to order one from Auto Zone (since the dealer wants to charge $200+) but the ones listed say "Except sunroof/moonroof" and "Sunroof" for application type. Mine has T-Tops....would it matter which one I get?
