Convertible Top

Hey. I have really no clue about cars, so don't laugh at me. I have a good guy friend that is. The glue of the convertible top has come undone on the top of the glass, almost all the way across. I am wondering if you guys could help me find out what all is entailed in changing the top out and where the best place to buy one is. (The top I think is dry rotted). Thanks. Ashley

I guess you're talking about where the canvas meets the rear glass window to be where the canvas has separated.
I believe the only place you will find a new top is a Toyota Dealer. Or you might find a used one in good condition at a salvage yard. Not that hard to install. Mating the rear part of the top to the back of the car will be the most challenging.
I think a new top from the dealer is about $1400.00..
