2nd Generation Fixing an MR2 lacking reverse...

I have a 91 SW20 auto (bummer on the automatic) with a big bad problem. When I put it into reverse, it quite resembles neutral, but it slightly creeps backwards no matter how hard you are on the gas. The tranny is obviously slipping or the reverse gear is stripped or something... If anybody has any suggestions as to anything I could possibly do to fix it for not too much money I would greatly appreciate it. I just basically need to find the cheapest way to make it work again... whatever that may be. Drive works fine except when it comes time to shift into the highest gear... it just doesn't want to shift sometimes. Thanks for the help!

yea sucks on the auto transmission... cause to fix one problem you have to rebuild the whole thing.

cheapest. find a used transmission and swap it.
