Did some testing, car shutting down at high speeds

I was "testing" out my car the other night, and WOT in 4th gear was ok, quick shifted to 5th WOT and a few seconds later my car just shut down like I put it in neutral. Almost like boost cut, but i dont have my boost cut enabled. Could it be fuel cut? If it is fuel cut, how much rwhp must i be pushing for this to happen? I have pretty much all basic mods on JDM 2nd gen 3sgte. 16psi of boost, aftermarket IC, ect. It never did this before in 5th gear. Just did it last night.

Do you have an FCD?? What kind? Some eliminate fuel cut.... others raise it to a max of 17psi. If your boost controller is set to 16psi you could easily be creeping to 17. Do you get a check engine light???

If it isn't a fuel cut issue.... it is probably old ignition components.

RWHP has nothing to do with fuel cut. If you haven't disabled or modified stock fuel cut, fuel is cut at 12 psi.
