Hi - I just bought a 92 mr2 from a guy in New York and need to get it inspected in Maryland. I'm pretty sure the window tint has to be removed, and it doesn't have a cat, and there may be other things that have to be done. Basically, I'm looking for an inspection station that knows toyotas (especially modified ones), will be fair and not come up with bs stuff that I have to do. Can anyone recommend someone for me to go to? Thanks!

So the car was originally a 3sge and then converted to a 3sgte? Or what's the story behind this... that t stands for turbo... correct me if I am wrong somebody...

it was a 5sfe and swapped to 3sgte?

I have a turbo w/ motor/turbo/exhaust/fuel work done and have no problem passing inspection and emissions.

You should not have a problem with it passing. The tint will not, but everything else "should" be ok.

thanks - where did you go? I just got temporary tags today, so I can drive it to be inspected.

I have a family friend in Westminster that inspects all of our cars. I would just look for a local shop that says "we do inspections"
