Gen1 c56 vs c60

I have a trans from a jdm 4agze engine that was for a corolla? does anyone know what car that might have come from? Also was told that trans was a 6 speed with a l.s.d maybe a c60 how could I tell? Will it fit into a mk1 mr2? And whats the difference between s/c and n/a mr2 axles if any? p.s I know about a c56 swap is a c60 swap different? P.S. are'nt supercharged cars aw16 chassis code not aw11

you could have asked in the other question.....

all C series transmissions were NEVER on any 4agze. The c56 came on the silvertops and blacktops (5 speed) and the c60 was the optional 6 speed for the blacktop.

the 4agze in the aw11's came with an e51, the early ae92 had a fwd e51, and the later ae92's and ae101 4agze's had e58's. All fwd e series transmissions utilized a passenger axle that bolted to the block and didn't have a c-clip to retain the axle.

the only LSD factory equipped corolla's/mr2's (A series) were non-us s/c aw11's (was an option, not standard) and on some FWD vehicles. The LSD transmissions use even different axle splines (inner) than the e51's.... those axles are even MORE difficult to find.

they're newer... have a slightly different gear ratio, and have less possibility of losing syncro's

but it isn't all that common of a swap.

the E series are used in s/c swaps because they're MUCH stronger than the stock c series
