Hey I'm new here and don't actually own an mr2 yet, but looking at a shell for about $150. Anyways my question is that are the Mr2 turbo transmissions used in the swap put in for more strength or because the aw11 transmission doesn't fit the bolt pattern? I'm not new to cars because I'm in the midst of turboing my miata, but I can't resist the temptation of a beefy V6. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not too familiar with V6 swaps into MKI's. Never personally even seen one. But the E153 tranny bolts right up and has factory LSD.... what's not to like??
