Canada My AW11's gears keep grinding!!!

Hey guys, im new to this site, and i need a little help.
I've got an MK1 MR2 and my gears keep grinding, my reverse is horrible, its so bad im embarrased to pull out of a parking space when people are around. I checked the clutch fluid and it was nearly empty, so i refilled it. It seemed to work for a day or two, but then it started grinding again, I checked the fluid container and it was full. Im out of ideas. Should I shange the tranny fluid for now? Would it be best to buy a new transmission? Or should I check the clutch and cables? This is my cars first time being winter driven and surprisingly it doesn't handle as bad as i thought. I know they're not meant for winter but could the cold be the reason for the grinding eventhough i keep it in a garage?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

Change the transmission fluid, I have a feeling like it might help a lot.

Most manual transmissions are a bit harder to shift in the winter...until they warm up.

what the hell is clutch fluid? Ive never put any fluid into my clutch......they are supposed to be friction devices....and on top of that how would you?

Also my car is a custom 3SGTE swap in a MK1 im grinding a gear in 5th..... mine is grinding however because my cable is too long and wont engage the gear fully.....maybe there is something wrong with your cables, take a close look at them.

My clutch container is a small clear tube that sits next to the brake booster under the front hood. I didn't know what it was but then i checked the manual and its for the clutch and it uses DOT3 brake fluid.

Check your shifter linkage connections under the shifter boot. The nuts can get loose, the throw gets sloppy and gears grind.

You can chase all the complex possibilities and get real frustrated and then find out it was just this simple adjustment. I've seen it happen with MR2s.
