Looking for a Complete 3SGTE Swap. Either 2nd Gen Or Third Gen below 60 K miles if possible been searching around and wondering if anyone know where a good place to get one and whats the price range to look for a good one with installation? anyone got any information please let me know thanks
Go to http://www.jdmracingmotors.com/ Thats where im getting my engine from when i have enough money. I have friends who have bought engines from that site, and everything turned out fine, no problems. It might be more pricey than other sites, but u can be sure of a good quality engine.

I can get everything taken care of for you all local in SoCal. Just let me know when you are planning on doing this and exactly what you would like to have done.
I want the Full 3sgte Swap 2nd or 3rd meaning the ecu wiring harness motor tranny back axle installation mabye new pistion and cams depending on price and most likely turbo timer and oil pressure gauge but i believe i can do that myself.. ive been looking around and got a price range of how much it should cost so if urs is cheaper i would like to see what you can offer let me know
swapping from 5s to 3s? engine ecu and tranny. then you get to swap your rear axle, cuz they are diff. make sure you get a full uncut wiring harness.... its a real PITA if it comes cut, and toyota charges over 1000 for one. they also charge about 550 for the rear axle and stuff, and parts are rare so dont count on finding one in a local junk yard, research ahead of time, or make sure it comes in the swap kit your buying. hmm what else... I had to get a new MAF sensor as well. and if you had a 5sfe your also gonna need a new fuel pump. at 7pounds of boost at sea level your pushing 100% of what its capable of. and unless you just replaced it, im sure its prolly 15 years old and not up to the task. prolly be a good idea to grab a new fuel filter while your there.
btw i paid
2374 for a gen II shipped, 40k miles with paperwork. all the goodies as well as uncut harness
100 for the MAFS
180 for SMIC (ebay special) - might want to look into buying new piping for it as well, or just buying a real kit.
going to be paying
600 for two rear axle shafts
110+shipping for walbro fuel pump
been working with a shop out of canada. EXCELLENT customer service and went the extra mile to correct the error when my harness was cut and not supposed to be lol

aw i didnt know that a 3sgte took so much money to put in it i could of just a turbo mr2 for that money haha but i think im going to save a bit more because i just recently talked to someone and i guess the price range went up
lol and i forgot the shop labor haha, think im at 14-15 hours or so at 60/hr. so anything you can do yourself helps. im sure you could drop the engine in, but its much easier to drop the car on the engine. but still, if you can find a rear clip with everything should cost around 2500 for parts, and around 1000 for labor. Always plan on things costing more than they should, cuz they usually end up doing that haha
edit: considering I bought my 2 about two years ago for 2500$, spent around 4500$ but now i have a 40k mile mr2 turbo lots of work and frustraition, but it was worth it. Plus mines a hardtop, so thats a plus. havnt found any statistics, but i have never heard of a facorty turbo in hardtop, only t-tops.

first i was quoted 243.90 for the outer shafts, now my mechanic is saying its gonna be about 750 for parts cuz toyota does not sell them separate... even though the joint thats in the tire is the same for turbo and non. and I already have the inner/center axle.
anyone know how much a stock axle can take for torque? koracing sells one with better inner cv joints, wondering if its worth the few extra bucks. http://koracing.net/viewproduct.php?...84&product=418
gonna be like 810 after taxes from the stealership, the "upgraded" ones are only 889 after shipping, so money is not an issue.

Josh is a pretty cool guy. I've bought a few things from him and have friends that have also had positive experiences. Some people have had communications problem and delivery problems. But I've never heard of products being anything less than perfect.
I will be meeting him in person so I hope delivery will not be a problem just gotta set up a paypal account now.
I also remember reading about Jeff F. using CRW as well. Im just happy about being able to use my car again after....eight months? ten months? I dont even remember anymore haha mostly due to my fault.. not having cash, not being smart enough to sign up on MR2oc and read the posts... sigh live and learn :p
