brake spreader springs

Hi all-

The front disc brakes in my 1985 MR2 have little V-shaped spreader springs that hook into the edges of the brake pads and push them away from the rotor when the brakes are not applied. I gather that this is to reduce glazing and friction.

The rear brakes (also discs in the MR2) don't have these spreaders however.

Is it possibly to buy just these springs? (some new ones came with my new front pads, but not the rears) I'd like to retrofit these to the rear brakes in my car as well. I don't really want to go to a junkyard because they'll only sell the entire brake caliper and the little springs will probably be worn out if they are even there.

Thanks

Brian

(in case you are wondering why I'd want to do something so seemingly insignificant, my 1985 MR2 is electric powered, and every watt matters! Reducing rear brake drag will buy me a couple more miles of range.)
