Gen1 HIDs wont work on my MK1 MR2 :(need help):

I just bought an HID kit off of a friend, and we tried to put it into my MK1 MR2, but they dont work....Normally in the newer cars, u have to disable the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) but mine doesn't have those. Do i have to cut a specific wire or take out a specific fuse? Has anyone here ever done this to a AW11?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

There should be a ballast (a little box) with two wires coming out of it (positive - negetive) and then another wire that goes to the bulb. Just cut off anything after the box (leaving the positive negetive wires) and just hook those positive negetive to a relay that is triggered by your factory headlight wires.

Reverse the polarity of the wires.

It's simple to install. If it's not lighting, flip the harness.

Your friend has the same bulb type right?
