Thumbs up i need help with upgrading my 91 mr2 turbo

hi guys, i have a 91 mr2 turbo and its all stock accept an air filter that i fitted.
i want to upgrade my turbo but i have never done anything like this b4, so i just want to know what turbo i can upgrade it to, without having to change all the piping? and what size or type aftermarket turbo can i fit on it?

i would appreciate your help

((( sorry guys i forgot to mention i also have a 3inch exhaust running from the engine to 2 big cannons, one from eachside))).

A CT20b from a Gen3 3SGTE would work.

Everything else requires some good modification.

^ Is that a type-O Brian? did you mean CT20 B ?
A CT27from ATS Racing will give you some decent power and bolts right on.

i agree with mr2 bad. I think the CT27 would be a good starting upgrade. But i think there are other things you should be looking into prior like getting a MBC and a boost guage or also exhaust to start with

The boost controller is a great 1st mod. You will see a very noticeable Hp increase.

yea it is a bolt on but you really cant boost too much without doing some other upgrades as well like the fuel pump. Im not exactly sure of the limitation on the fuel system, but it always a good idea to do upgrades like that when upgrading a turbo.
