Simple Upgrades

I'm just looking for some idea's on how I can upgrade my 1989 Supercharged Toyota MR2, just to get a little more power. I don't really want to put a huge exhaust sytem on it, and I want to keep it quiet as far as the intake..... Any suggestions? I'd be more than happy to hear them. Thanks!!

Get some exhaust wrap/insulator and wrap it around your exhaust manifold and downpipe...

Weight reduction.....get rid of interior parts that's you don't need.

TRD makes a pulley that increases your max boost.

They also make a very nice header for your car.

Turbo for an AW11?

Do you guys have any suggestions for putting a turbo on my '89 SC? Or is that a copmletely bad idea? I was thinking something small, but i'm totally new to turbo's. Any suggestions.... I appreciate it.

Ok, forget about keeping it quiet........

Ok, here's what I plan to do with my 1989 Supercharged MR2. I'm going to bore the engine, and restroke to a 1.8, and look for a small turbo to do a twin charge. Also, for a supercharger upgrade, I plan to get the Cusco Pulley kit, which is also supposed to have a Air/Water intercooler with it. After all of that work, I'm hoping to be pushing over 250 Hp, with almost the same torque. Anyway, any suggestion, warnings, comments, I'd be glad to hear them. Thanks.

HKS used to offer a twincharged manifold for the 88/89 SCs.
There are several cars running around with both the turbo and the SC.

Good luck on your project
