im set on getting an mr2 and will have enough money to get one in june, i just need some help on which year i should buy, are there any major problems with the different years of the mk2?
91-92 turbos would be cheapest......93 would be a better pick b/c they come with bigger stock rims/brakes..different suspension....94-95 turbos would be best but hardest to find....
my price range should be around 7k and i prefer the mkII and i am hoping to tune it a little bit because i already have a corrola s 2006, so im just looking for something fun and fast
Ok for that price you could either get a really nice 91-92 with low miles or you should be able to find a decent 93 for that price. I always like finding one with not to many mods so i can do it up the way i like. But thats really up to you. And if you want a fast one then get a turbo model. Dont waste your money on a NA because youll regret it later on when you want a little extra power and cant really get it out of the NA. There are plenty of place to find them for sale.
Autotrader is obviosly the best place to start. After that you could look into MR2trader. But ussually there its hard to find local. Then of course there is the MR2OC which there are always people there with FS ads. Just do your research on the car and make sure to look it over well before you buy.
ya i've been looking on autotrader for a while now, and have seen several 91-93 mr2's at decent prices. and one more question are mr2's, the mkII, hard to work on?

Considering how tight engine bays are in all the newer cars-Not really. It's tight, but workable. I have found that some mechanics don't want to work on them.
well other than having to search for a mechanic its pretty ... not simple, but less complicated. oh i also heard about the wiring being difficult to work with and figure out
should i go for an mr2 mkII turbo or should i get a non turbo. I mean i will eventually put a turbo on my mr2 just cus i want more speed and well i'm basically going to get a bunch of stuff gonna go all out, im just looking for what base mr2 i should get. so ya turbo or non turbo?
