2nd Generation knock sensor

i have a CEL code 52 and i was wondering if breaking in a rebuilt engine could set that off and if that is the reason will i have to buy a new one?
Thanks,
Brett

i dont know who rebuilt the motor the 3 previous owners before me all had to sell it do to financial reasons and the guy i bought it from bought it from a friend. so i am clueless there. But after i got the code i reset the CEL and it stays off if you stay below 3000 rpm and after you shut the car off and turn it back on it is off again if that helps any.
