At the very beginning I would like to say thank You for visiting my post regarding the MR – 2 Coilovers suspension. I have Toyota Mr2 1993 Turbo and right now my suspension is stock except the struts which I replaced it with AGX 4 way adjustable struts. Yes, it handles nice but I am looking for something better and I also want to replace my springs so my final decision was coilovers. Please excuse me and correct me if I’m wrong because of the low level of education about the coilovers. I would be more than happy to receive some helpful links from you to educate myself about this particular subject.
I wish my suspension would be adjustable like the struts for example during winter I wish my suspension would be nice and soft and when the snow is gone I would like to adjust it quick and easy to hard suspension for most handling experience and fast driving conditions. I do not go on the tracks but I really like to drive fast and make sharp turns on regular street driving. Please help me decide what would be the best choice. Any comments would be very helpful.
it would be a waste to have coil-overs on a car that is winter driven...within one year...the salt would rust the perches and you won't be able to adjust them....
a good set of tires....driving hard on the streets isn't gonna get you anywhere but trouble....get some track time and then you'll really see the limits of the car and your driving abilities....

I have to disagree. It really comes down to how well you maintain them.
I ran on my coilovers on salty/snowy new england streets all winter and on snow-covered rally-cross courses. A good wash and a few shots of WD-40 every other week or so does the trick. No problems adjusting mine............yet.
But I must agree, I'm not sure coilovers are the best value if you're only doing daily street driving.

hmmmm... interesting.... Thank You for sharing Your experiance. Does anyone know any good websides with a fair price for D2 or TEIN SS? If I buy the coilovers do I need to buy any washers or something? or it comes complete with everything? Is it full instalation kit?
