my daily driver is a 89 mr2 mt with very few mods. does the side mount electric fan actually do anything? it kicks on alot in the summertime but i don't ever feel any warm air being removed from the engine. should'nt it be bringing in cool air instead of blowing out air? i am lost and hope u guys can clarify this for me.

the airflow in the enginebay is from under and up.... the sidefan will turn on when the temperature around the manifold gets too hot.... then it will kick on and push cold air over the manifold area.... the air moving up/out of the engine bay will catch the heat and continue it out that way.....
