2nd Generation clutch problem?

Ok hey guys I just recently encountered a problem with my 93 mr2 turbo It seems like it has to do with the clutch or tranny..im not really sure yet thats why im posting in here hoping that someone had the same problem and fixed it. Heres the situation... I step on the clutch all the way down and try to put it into gear. goes into gear but also grinds a little...that happen for a couple of days...I tried it again today and now it wont even go into gear when my car is on...It goes into gear fine when the car is off but once the engine is running it doesn't want to go in...When the car is on and im stepping on the clutch trying to put it in gear the car starts to move slightly even when it is not in gear.. any ideas guys????? thanks one more thing its a stage 3 clutch...

Could be a couple of things, but start with the easiest/cheapest fix first. Try adjusting the clutch engagement point. It's just a lock nut on the thread of the MC plunger on the back side of the pedal.
If that doesn't help, check to see if your clutch hydraulic system has any leaks (MC, slave, lines).
After that I'd try bleeding the clutch system.
At this point, if your problem isn't solved, it may be time to replace the Master and/or slave cylinder. Have someone press the clutch, while you watch the fork move back and forth. If it isn't travelling the full distance it should, it may be time to replace these components.

Anything beyond that, it's probably an internal clutch issue, and you'll be looking at droppin that tranny.

Good luck!

i had the same thing... a torsion spring got ripped out and wedged so the clutch would not release even tho the pedal was pressed in. had to get a new clutch. and it was a new stage II TRD clutch... had like 15k miles on it. sucks

the way you differentiate trans problem from clutch is... w/ the car off... press the clutch in and shift all the gears... if you can its clutch problem... if not... trans problem.
