Gen1 badge

Whoever owned my car before me took of the hood badge by what appears to be brute force, leaving the three little black plastic mounting tabs imbeded in the hood. I just ordered a new badge on eBay and I need some advice as to how to mount the thing. I was going to take a drill and bore out the plastic tab remains. My question is, what kind of adhesive do I use to fasten it to the hood, and do I need to do anything to the paint for the adhesive to bond properly?

Use Molding adhesive. It comes 2 ways. liquid and a double sided type tape. Very strong and reliable.I prefer the tape. You can put the new badge right over the old mounting tabs.

well the new badge has mounting tabs on the back as well. And I'm assuming you can get the adhesive at pretty much any autoparts store?

If the tabs match up with the holes , then i would just go with the liquid adhesive glue. Yeah, any autoparts store and WalMart carries too.
