UK installing a new headunit

hi i'm trying to install a pionner cd headunit into my mk2 mr2,non of the adapters seem to fit,there seems to be loads of wires too,extra speaker wires,also the power wire is just on its own and i'm not sure whether or not its been tamoered with,please help cos i need my beats in my pride!!

By what you're saying, it sounds like you have the "premium" sound system. The MK2 imo, is one of the most annoying cars to put an aftermarket sound system in. The wiring goes all over the damn car, running back and forth to and from the factory amps/speakers.

Imo, you'll be doing yourself a favor to just completely redo the system and run your own wiring.

It's much easier to take power, acc, and ground from the clock, and then just run new speaker wire to all the speakers. In the end, you'll thank yourself for not trying to trace down every wire going to and from the amps.

Oh, and don't forget to pull out the stupid factory amps when you're done. They are damn near useless anyways.
