Question boost problem...any ideas??

I am running a 92 turbo all stock except the intake...when I accelerate from a stop my car takes off super slow...I have to rev it to around 4000rpm in 1st just to keep up with the car in front of me. When I push the car I noticed the boost gauge (stock) only goes up half way and its only at high revs. Anyone have any idea as what this could be? It seems like it has gotten worse over the last couple of days. Thanks

First off is the car bucking? Or is it knocking?

As far as I know, they are the original ignition components. There is no bucking or knocking the car just doesn't accelerate. Basically I have no boost in 1st gear then it kicks in at around 4000rpm in second and then in the high rpm ranges in the other gears. I am going to check all my lines and my exhaust to make sure there isn't a leak anywhere. I've heard of this happening but haven't heard a solution yet. I'll start from there and see where it goes...

I'd definately get some fresh ignition components to start. New plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you might want to consider hooking up an aftermarket boost gauge and see exactly what you're boosting at. If you can't boost past 7-8psi, it's possible you're in "limp" mode. One or more of your temp sensors may have failed.

But I'd do the ignition components first. Probably about time to replace em anyways.

Good luck!
