The DSM's come stock with what is "technically" a front mount, but is refered to as a side mount in all mitsubishi and eagle service and parts catalogs.

Most likely because of it location. It sits behind the passenger side fog light, tucked about as far to the passenger "side" as possible. Not what most people think of when they say "front mount" as it doesn't sit in the middle of the grille, in front of the radiator.
