Anyone dealt with Top End Performance?

Hey guys I'm a newbie here and considering purchasing an MR2 turbo very soon. I was contacting some engine builders I'm familiar with (Rebello and Precision Engines) about building an MR2 motor to hold about 350-400 hp. I was referred to Paeco as one of the best, but I've heard they can be rather expensive, then one of my Z car buddies told me about Top End. I know they have products for Z cars and 510s but I see they do MR2 builds as well. They say their motors with JE pistons and prepped rods and crank, and headwork and various other little things, will hold up to 425hp and 22psi. The package costs $3800. I was wondering if that's realistic, or if they're just blowing it outta their asses. This is the link if someone that knows can check it out. http://www.racetep.com/mr2tpart.htm

I'd just like to know if that's a realistic number so I can kinda get an idea of where I'm going to go with the car. Thanks!

Re: Anyone dealt with Top End Performance?

A 425hp MR2 is NOT something you want for a daily driver...

300hp is almost TOO much, unless you're skilled...

these engines CAN hold that much hp...

but, you might as well be safe, and ask here...

good luck..
