in the past few days, i've heard alot about the camry engine or the celica GT-S engine swapped into the mr2...why are people doing this? is it that good a swap or are people just bored and they need a new project? I'm just wondering, but IMO...leave it alone

If that's the case why doesn't he buy th N/A MR2, it has the same engine as the Camry!
it's being done because it's huge power potential, it fits as well as the 3sgte, actually better as far as i've heard, weight is similar being an aluminum block, and it's something different.
There was an article in turbo awhile back with a twincharged MK2 MR2 with this motor. Sweet build.

I can understand swapping the Camry V6 into a NA MR2 but why would anyone want to swap out the 3SGTE??? The 3SGTE has loads more potential than the Camry V6.
I don't know about you guys but for the price of the V6 Swap with a TRD supercharger I'd just get the Greddy Turbo kit.
