Thanks for the help?

I just got my 93 3sgte in my 92 5sfe. all went well except wireing. What happend was i took the whole engine bay wireing harness and cabin area harness out of my 92 before i did the swap. Due to the fact that i thought i was going to get the whole uncut wireing harness when the clip came, that was not the case. What had happend is they sent me the whole uncut engine bay harness minus a broken turbo pressure assy sensore (it was broke). What they did not hook me up with was the cabin area wireing harness. What can i do? Can i use my stock 5sfe one or do i need to find one online and buy it??????????????

sounds like what happened with me, out of the three plugs they gave you the ones for the engine but not the one that goes to your guage cluster. idiots lights and ignition sensor whatnot. they eventually sent me one off another 3s motor that came in but it was still nothing but a "hack" job. Ima get some pictures of everything. the JDM used diff colour wires. I also have some wire program, not sure where it went, and I should still have the pages he printed out of it. Hope some of that helps. he ended up just cutting everything and wiring it himself.

You actually would have been better off leaving the cabin harness intact. If you got a good, uncut engine harness, there is minimal splicing needed to make it work with your current body harness.

Only 1 of the harnesses in front of the firewall needs modification to work, aside from a few other odd wires here and there.

Let me see if I can find the diagrams of the NA body harness and give you some help.

In the meantime, if your NA body harness was working well, I'd consider putting it back in. The only thing you'll have to really worry about is the mechanical speedo, which is a quick fix.

check out this site as well.

http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2modproject/mr2modproject.htm

This is Pat Signorino's (spell?) site. He has a lot of detailed write-ups and pics on his swap, which I think was a '91 NA to 3rd gen 3sgte.

Check out his pics comparing wire harnesses. This is where I got a lot of the info I needed, myself.

Good luck!
