Gen1 An Weird Question :)

Okay,
So I blew a head on my 85 MR2, and I have just about all of it put back together. Although I ran into a rather peculiar situation. I've attached everything from the wiring harness to where it goes. By the distributor there are 4 plugs;2 green (1 male & 1 female), 2 white (1m&1f). So obviously green to green and white to white. Now here comes the strange part. There is a male and female grey wire running FROM the distributor, but no where to plug them in. No wires, no sockets, nothing! I have a friend that knows what hes doing as I'm not too sure how things work yet, and he is totally bewildered. The greys obviously dont plug into each other as they are too
short and wouldnt provide any power to the distributor. We didnt cut anywires and there dont look to be any frayed wires or anything.

The car wont start and we've narrowed it down to the fact that without the distributor getting power and firing.

So if anyone has any clue about this it would be greatly appreciated!

if you still havent figured it out take a picture of the distributor and all the plugs you have close by and I can tell you what goes where.

OK FIXT

Okay, So here's whats in the pictures. The distributor obviously in the top right corner. The green plug goes into the green. The white goes into the white. And then there are the two greys coming out of the distributor. I hope the pictures give you any insight.

Thanks so much!

make sure the m/f plugs of the dizzy don't plug into each other... they should each plug into a body harness plug (or engine harness plug... depends on how you look at it)....

if the dizzy if from like an 87+ then it won't work as they changed the electronics....
