boost problem

i was hoping someone could help me out with this, i have a 92 mr turbo and i installed my boost gauge and im only boosting 4 pounds of boost, i know stock i should be boosting 10 does anyone know what this could be?

Does it feel like your hitting full boost? If so, maybe a leak in newly installed line of boost gauge. (I'm assuming boost was good before install)

well the car never felt like it fully boosted even before i installed the gauge, that was actually the reason why i installed it .....

Check for boost leaks -piping,hoses,vacuum lines. When's the last time you did an ignition system tune up?(cap, rotor,plugs and wires)

Does it read a vacuum at idle? If not, you might have it T-ed it into the wrong hose.
