4agze's have a factory bypass valve to relieve excess pressure..... how does nobody know that?
it's attached directly to the post-sc pipe that bolts to the s/c.... it's a small cylindrical disc.... kinda like a bov, but not really....
the sc12 is really quiet.... if you're talking about how loud the s/c is.... then, uh, ride in an n/a.... they sound about the same....
i had an ae101 4agze in an old hardtop 87 running on megasquirt.... with an E series transmission (factory s/c trans)..... car was faster than a stock 2nd gen turbo (even past 110mph)... but the trans was too heavy and made the car lame to drive in the corners.....
currently building an 87 t-top 4agte using a smallport 4agze longblock converted n/a, will be running MS as well. Using a C-series to give the car better gearing and less ass-end heaviness.
