Supercharger Question

Probably a dumb question, but you know how with turbo's, you can get blow off valves that give that cool sound? Is it possible to do that with the supercharger on the 4A-GZE?

Does your engine use some type of stock by pass? I'm not familiar with the 3S-GZE.

I'm sorry I meant 4A-GZE. Kinda got the 3S-GTE and the 4A-GZE mixed together haha.

go to www.mr2oc.com

You will probably get flamed though...That's a extremely rice rocket question.

There is no need for a BOV on a 4agze. Study the intake path and you'll see why.

I've always wondered if you can get an air powered fog horn and hook it up to a blow off actuator so it sets off the fog horn rather than just going "Psssh".

Many MR2 Turbo's have made it way past 110k miles without a rebuild-including mine.

4agze's have a factory bypass valve to relieve excess pressure..... how does nobody know that?

it's attached directly to the post-sc pipe that bolts to the s/c.... it's a small cylindrical disc.... kinda like a bov, but not really....

the sc12 is really quiet.... if you're talking about how loud the s/c is.... then, uh, ride in an n/a.... they sound about the same....

i had an ae101 4agze in an old hardtop 87 running on megasquirt.... with an E series transmission (factory s/c trans)..... car was faster than a stock 2nd gen turbo (even past 110mph)... but the trans was too heavy and made the car lame to drive in the corners.....

currently building an 87 t-top 4agte using a smallport 4agze longblock converted n/a, will be running MS as well. Using a C-series to give the car better gearing and less ass-end heaviness.

this is a response to pretty much all.....

sorry to ask but how was a 2g turbo out of your price range...or what was your price range. Cuz you can get those for under 4-5k. But then again why would you want one of those unreliable cars. I had 1 for 2 years and it gave me nothing but problems. Im glad i switched to toyota
