2nd Generation 5 lug to 4 lug

does any one know if you can convert 5 lugs in to 4 lugs?

the reason im asking i have 93 mr2-t thats 5 lugs.

i use to have a 02 civic 2dr with 4 lugs BUT these wheels came off of a toyota, i guess MRS our i can say 03 mr2 sport edt that came with
15 front and 16 rear

at the time i was a salesman at a toyota store and i bought the last set of these mr2 wheels and they where brand new with tires and i bought them for $140.00.

i guess i was meant to have a MR2

You could convert....Im certainly not going to tell you how because I dont want to be responsible for your death.

Trust me, they made the cars 5-lug from the factory for a reason. If I had the time I would go through the lengthy procedure to convert my 4Lug MK1 hubs to 5 lug just so I could get MK2 upgraded brakes and the large variety of wheels that are offered in that pattern.

Brian is right. You don't want to lower the number of lug nuts. It's just not safe.

I think he's trying to say that he bought a set of stock wheels from an MR2 Spyder (which is 4x100 bolt pattern) for cheap and that he wants to use the wheels on his 93 MR2 (which is 5-lug)

To comment, the stock wheels aren't that great..... you're better off spending your money on a nicer set of wheels because there are plenty out there you can choose from.

Everyone forgets the potential of 4x100 lug pattern for aftermarket wheels. Most years of Honda/Acuras are 4x100 and there are a huge amount of wheels for them!

Yeah, there's alot of nice rims in that size/range. Only thing is those makes don't use staggered rims like an MR2.

But seeing as I'm the nice guy I am i'll help you out even further. If you like the look of the MR-S wheels they do make factory MK2 wheels like that on the Japanese '98 MR2's. can sometimes find them on Ebay or posting a Want to buy add on MR2 forums. I will warn you tho it's kind of a rare item and peopel want roughly $1000 for them. Whish isn't so bad but for $1000 you can get wider and lighter wheel. Like the 5zigen FN01-RC's which are a similar style.

If you like the look of the MR-S wheels just get the 7th gen Celica GT-S wheels... 5x100 and look the same!
