i'm with MRQturbo on this ...
i think a single turbo, built to your needs, is the way to go with the MR2, or any other 4-banger. another turbo is just that ... another turbo ... and extra weight.
Depends on what you want. Two small turbos should spool faster than one big one. This means better driveability. One big turbo will make a bigger top end but a longer wait for it to spool up.
Two years ago, when Toyota was still in CART, they started using a single turbo set up for qualifying on big ovals. Thre reason, bigger H.P. which on an oval, where you're running wide open all the way around, is the way to go. On a road course, where driveabilty is a bigger issue than peak power, they always ran the twin turbo.
I guess you could develop a twin turbo setup that would produce as much peak HP as one large one but it wouldn't be easy and the plumbing would be tough.
Sorry off topic

pouya's car, lets just say it was impossible to keep up with it through the canyons...we hit up palomar a while ago, 360 Modena lead the pack of Mr2's NSX's and RX7s. Pouya stayed right behind the modena most of the time!

The modena was red, I am not sure the name of the owner. I know his co-worker owns a viper who was supposed to be there as well, but got left behind to finish up work.
