Gen1 Random Die

Well heres the story. I have a 87 MR2 that I just rebuilt the engine. The car ran great for 2 weeks (sort of i washed the engine bay and shorted the TPS senser and the coil, both are new). But suddunly i was driving to work one day and the car just died. I was running a little late and i droped it into low (yes i drive an auto wanting a stick) got it 4500 RPM and it just died like a electrical failure so i checked spark and i have spark. When i took the plugs out and their wet with fuel( I also cracked the line going to the cold start injector and i got pressure). Well if thats 2 out three main things i need. The last I checked was compression, sure enough I HAVE COMPRESSION (125 PSI). Now i pulled the valve covers off and the oil looks a little chocolatey not very just a little(maybe from when i washed the engine bay). NOT GOOD! Any ideas if anything let go. i had the head put together, i did everything else. The car doesnt even try to fire but it rotates.
Any help would be appreciatted! Thanks
Scott

If your tensioner is worn out, it can jump teeth.

i think we all can agree w/ that...

and you said you had spark...? but the plugs are saturated. So obviously you didn't have spark... just cause the coil pops fire doesn't mean its getting to the cylinder...

and i'm willing to bet, like he said... your tensioner is bad.

well what i thick it was is that when i put the new belt on I didnt let it "break in" so it streched and moved. So I re tensioned it and timed of course and its works great now.
thanks for the info
Scott
PS i had spark from the plug wire where i tested spark from a plug to the head.
