MK1: Changing dash clock color

Ok, I'm beginning my quest to figure out how to change my dash clock color in my 89 MR2.

Before I removed it I thought it was a LED segment display... that would be easy to change. Turns out it uses a VFD... only made in greenish blue.

I thought about a red film over it, but then it would be dim and brown.

So, next up is to find a similar sized dash clock circuit from another car and mod it into the housing for mine.

Has anyone done something like this?

Try RadioShack and see what kind of digital displays they might have. Otherwise, you may have to take your own advice about just finding another clock and retrofitting it.

my 90 ae92 has a clock with a grey tint..... you could see how close they are....

but why?

Oh totally, but this car sees shows now and then... and people pick out the smallest crap.

Here's the interior as of now (and that steering wheel is OUTTA there soon as I find my red annodized TRD wheel)

Wow, Aaron, looks good. Is that a Grant steering wheel you have in there now? How about some shots of the engine bay.?plz
And are those seats comfortable? I've been thinking of getting something similar, but i really like the stock seats. - with the adjustable lumbar support and tilt.
