Gen1 Harley sounding at idle

Well the topic pretty much explains it. 87 MK1 and I just cant get the car to idle right. Once Im above 2000 RPM the car sounds and runs perfectly but in the lower section it sucks. Another thing is if i have the car in park or nuetral it idles @ 2000 RPM, then I put in drive and it drops all the way down to 600 or 700 RPM. I checked the vaccum lines and made sure they were ran correctly, but still no dice. The coolent is bled and I just fixed that whole deal. I have meesed with the TPS sensor and it still sounds like a harley. I sounding like a bike tells me that I have 2 misses but I could be wrong on that. the distibutor inew along with the coil and plugs and wires. Any info would be apreciated.

if you were missing you'd have a flashing CEL...

so if it sounds like a misfire, and no CEL, and it smooths out after 2000 rpm when engine vacuum is almost nothing anyways... 99.9% sure you have a vacuum leak.

but w/ all the work that seems to have been done. the question is did you have this problem before everything was "fixed"....?

Definatley sounds like a vacuum leak. Get Ether (starting fluid) and spray it on the vacuum lines as the car runs...if the idle goes up or stabilizes then you found your leak.
