ECU's interchangable?

Hey fellas,

I have a 1991 manual n/a Deuce and I am trying to get a new ECU.

I can't find any from an MR2 that are within my pricerange (which, since I am a college student, is very low).

I have the oppurtunity to buy an ECU from a 1991 non-turbo 5sfe Celica.

Is that something that can be installed in place of the stock one?

So, basically, is an ECU from a Celica interchangable with that of an mr2?

Or is that not a good idea.
Thanks for your time.

Please respond if you know, seeing that I am kinda racing the clock

(these days, the clock seems to be the only that I get to race).

I believe so. Not sure though. Though I'm 90% sure. I know people swap celica 3S-GTE's into MR2's all the time so it should be the same for the 5S...
