2nd Generation To buy or not to buy

I'm considering buying a 2nd gen mr2 turbo, but before I make my decision I want to know what kind of upgrades can be done to one besides after market parts, like engine swap options, brake swaps, etc. I just thought I'd ask the mr2 guys.

Supra brakes fit, some guys have dropped V6's into them. But the 3sgte engine can easily be built to almost 400hp on stock internals.Anything can be done if your pockets are deep enough!

V6 Swaps
3S-GTE Upgrades...?
If it's a 91-92 MR2, one of the best upgrades is to a 93+ brake kit. Prothane bushings for all the suspension points will have the handling better than factory and low profile tires make a pretty big difference. They're awesome cars STOCK! So anything you do to HELP the cars (I say help, no gay wings or neon's allowed...jk jk) is just 'icing on the cake'!

yeah I like a car to look clean I don't do body kits but I might with this one since I want it to be in shows, its come down to either a Mr2 or a Silvia, I'll probably just get whatever I find first thats the best buy since they are both hard to find around these parts, so if I do get the mr2 you guys will be seeing more of me

You probably wont be getting an MR2 then... They're awefully rare and you probably wont find one for "a good deal"...unless you mean for a good deal of $... Unless you're looking for a broken one. You'll still pay "too much" for it then...

he's gonna have a real hard time finding a silvia before the deuce.

unless he's thinking 240 w/ the sr20 swap and headlight / grill conversion then thats almost as common as civics now a days.

I think you'd enjoy an MR2 much more than a 240, but for JUST show...you might want to do a 240. An MR2 needs to stretch it's legs every now and then, and it's GOOD at stretching it's legs!
