Exhaust Questions

I bought my 1991 MR2 about a month ago as my toy. I also have a 1982 Supra, which is very clean (60,000 original miles, clean title, family transfer), as my "family car". My original plan was to drop a 7M-GTE into my supra, and use that as my toy, but the car was just too clean.

I plan on swapping my N/A engine for the 2.0L Turbo here soon, but in the meantime I would like to replace the exhaust. I was looking at the Greddy SP dual tip, and they make one for the turbo and the non-turbo. My question is, if I get the exhaust for the non-turbo, when I swap my engine, will it be able to bolt up to the turbo engine? I just don't want to spend $600 on an exhaust that I am only going use for like 2 months. If not, will the turbo exhaust hook up to the non-turbo motor? Cause if that is the case I will just buy that to begin with.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me, I'm new to these cars, I just want to learn more about the differences between the N/A and the turbo motors.

What are the major changes I would have to make in the swap? Besides the exhaust?

I have a 3S-GTE lined up to buy in a few months. It is a complete motor, tranny, and ECU for $2,600 -or- just the motor for $1,500. I was going to just buy the whole thing, but that still means I will have to replace the exhaust. Any other things that people have encountered problems with just so I have a heads up?

Wait until you do the swap and forget the Greddy SP. There are other exhausts on the market that are just as quiet and make more power.
