my new 91 mr-deuce

I just bought a 91 mr-2. it has the 2.2 non turbo. The car is in really good shape with the exception of a few minor things. I picked my car up in Oklahoma while I was visiting a friend. It is pretty much rust free and runs well but it has a high idle. Sometimes the idle will spike a bit but usually it stays around 1500-1700 rpm. I've tryed adjusting it but its turned all the way down. what else can I check? Also the car has a rattle when I make turns. I discovered that it was comming from the harmonic balancer. the pulley attatched to it has broken free from the harmonic balancer and makes an annoying racket. since that pulley only runs the ac I have the ac disconnected but other than that its not effecting the drive. I've tried to find a new one but short of the dealership I can't seem to locate one. If anyone knows where I can get one???

Hey Dan,
I had a chip off the edge of my Crank pulley and checked the dealer-$260.00 !!! UnorthodoxRacing makes a lightened pulley for $200.00. Still alot of $$$.
I ended up filling in the chip (it was barely 1/4") with JB Weld. Sanded it flat and smooth.Worked great.
The other choices are to find a used one, Ebay or Salvage yard. You might also try shooting a PM to MR2 Guru. He has tons of MR2 parts-both N/A and turbo.
As far as your idle, look for a vacuum hose leak and check your A/C idle up valve .
