First a question, then the plan

To those who did the work themselves, how long did it take you to install a DP and exhaust and did you do both installs at once or separately? Any kind of special tools that you would recommend to make things easier or tools that the average person wouldn't have that are needed to complete the job? Im just trying to get a feeler for what to expect in terms of downtime. I am in the process of saving my hard earned money to buy a turbo MR2 for myself and I am doing a lot of advanced planning. I plan on keeping my beater Integra to be my backup car (and because I like it too much to part with it, no matter how much of a beater it really is) but mark my words, unless something in life totally screws me (again) I will have one by June. That gives me roughly 8 months to plan exactly what it is I want to do with the car as a whole, locate and price parts to tune up the car from the HFH down to spark plugs, and locate local shops to do work on an as needed basis. My current research has been based off of a 300rwhp goal that I set, but I may have to tone that down a bit and bring myself back down to Earth. Im aiming for a deuce around $5500 give or take a few hundred (more than likely give) that may need mechanical work that I can do or paint issues (I can deal with paint issues, the Integra practically has cancer) but non salvage and no swaps and preferrably stock and owned by a skinny old lady. I figured that a forum such as this wil give me the proper feedback and guidance because there are some great contributors on here (and I forgot my MR2OC login and I'm too lazy to retrieve it). Im ready to fulfil a goal I set 3 years ago when I joined this site. Here goes nothin!

I have the ATS 3" downpipe with 2 bung ports for sensors. Black podwer coat. It was $281.00 delivered to my door. Along with a custom 3" dual muffler exhaust. removing the old DP and exhaust piping was about 5 hours for me. I am the slow but sure type. Plus I multitask and do other stuff around the house at the same time. So kinda hard to say exactly how long.
As far as tools:metric socket set including deep sockets. Metric box/open end wrenches. There is mostly 10 & 14mm nuts and bolts. Breaker bar(maybe). Jack and stands.
I think the hardest part was removing the exhaust from the DP back. The BGB says to rotate it this way and that to get it out, but I wasted ,I don't know how much time, and ended up cutting the damn thing with a cutter blade with my Dremmel.
As far as the install of the DP, pretty easy. It's hard to get the nut closest to the block next to oil filter base/oil cooler. I loosened it and moved it to the side(without disconnecting the HFHOE ). Other than that it's pretty easy.
