i know a guy who has an automatic tranny for his MR2 and i was wondering how much they go for? are they rare?

What year/gen MR2 are you refering to? As far as the 2nd gens, I believe only the N/A's came with an auto trans. The majority of N/A's have 5 speed manuals, but they were also fitted with auto trnny's as an option.

the guy says he has a 1985 MR2. ive seen it. so its not a lie. not saying you were saying i was saying, though.

I was refering to 2nd gens. I don't know much about the 1st gens. Never owned one. But I do know from this site that they did come with auto trans as an option.

Try the on lineOEM parts finder in the sticky. It may give you a price. Not sure if it will have a complete trans there.
