C/R question

'91 MR2 Turbo 3sgte

After talking with the machine shop, I am gonna have to bore my block .040 over. So in my choice for JE forged pistons, should I go with 9.0:1 C/R or 8.5:1 C/R ?
Present mods are: ATS CT27,ATS 3"DP, dual exhaust with 3" piping from DP to exit(no cats), K&N Cone filter intake,HKS TuboTimer, Greddy IC and Greddy ProfecII EBC.
Thanks

don't bore that block w/o the pistons in-hand!
personally, i'd go 9.0, but you will need really good intercooling capability and some tuning!

Oh, I have Greddy IC installed..Forgot to list that.
And Yes, I won't have the block bored until I can take the pistons to the shop. He's waiting on me.
JE is the only brand I can get locally without a wait, so I wanted a second opinion as to which C/R to go with before I bought them. I was wanting to go with the 9:0-1, which is a high as I would want to go for turbo friendliness.
Thanks

are you going to do any fancy coatings like heat barrier, or treated skirts or anything? JE is local to you?

i've actually just picked-up another engine stand from a local (to me) MR2 owner. my oil squirter block is going up on it. i have been contemplating the direction i will be taking with that build.

No, gonna install as is. I am gonna stay as close to stock as I can. Thats why I decided to go with the CT27..I've already spent more money that I wanted to.

Well, as local as it gets in Arkansas. Small and big block stuff is readily available, but the import stuff is harder to get. Mostly everything takes a week or more to get here.At least for Toyota parts. There's Honda stuff like crazy on the shelves..
My friend at parts store said he could have it over night if I wanted. And the biggest factor was the price.(over Wiseco and Eagle, etc.)
There's only 3 Dyno's in the whole state. 2 in Little Rock( 1 is at a Exotic import dealer-Jags, Ferrari's,Lotus, Porsches) and the other is way up north near Batesville..Too far...

cool, i understand. so, no use in trying to sell you a CT20b, eh? LOL i have 2.

yeah, i have a hi-comp 4AG-E block with oil squirters. it squirt oil under the pistons to help keep pistons cooler and for some added lubricity (i guess)
