mr2 aw11 wont get power

ive had my mr2 sitting for a couple of months, and it was recently buried in 2 feet of snow. i threw a new battery into it but it wont get any power. tried putting cables to it too just to check if the new battery was somehow dead and that didnt work either. any insights?

possibly an distributor rotor got wet? this happens on mkII's sometimes. what is "any power." is the starter kicking in? is it turning over? is it cranking but not starting? do the lights come on? bad grounds can cause some funky electrical problems.

i've thought the same thing. i've had it happen 5 times now. battery is a connection that easily is broken. whether it's corrosion, movement or just dead battery. first was my car from my parents 91 accord-bad connection-battery ok-wire brush fixed, then my mr2 swap's battery died in the process (6 months of sitting), then the mr2 again with bad connection-replaced w/new autoz copper parts, then my box truck at work wouldn't start-test battery-dead, now my mr2 (3 yrs later) is again dead-braille replacement on the way!!!!
