Oil Nozzle

The socket head bolts that hold the oil nozzles in place were a bitch to get out. The machine shop had to cut one of them out and the other socket heads are kinda stripped, so I am replacing them all.
My question: Do I need to use thread locker on the threads when installing? Or are they OK just torqued down?

I wouldn't use thread locker.

The manual does not call for thread locker. I just made sure the threads were clean & dry & snugged them up good & tight.

I only have the CD and it's notorious for leaving out stuff. It doesn't say anything about thread locker either, but they were fricken hard to bust loose for something thats only torqued to in. lbs. Maybe the previous rebuild put some on there. Idunno
Thanks

My engine was a JDM unit with 80K on it - never touched. All my bolts came out fine & did not show any signs of having any locker on them, I just cleaned them & put them back in the same way, with no locker. If you use it, use only BLUE not RED & only use a tiny amount, but you may run into the same problem later if you pull it apart again. The nozzles just sit there. There is no pressure on them & they arent subjected to any vibrations or loads, so they shouldnt work loose if you torque them to specs.
