I'm running KYB AGX 4 way adjustable shocks and Tein S Tech springs. If I remember correctly it was about 500 bucks total. the ride is a little rough, but the handling and road feel is worth the trade.
The KYBs are pretty commonly used by people on here.
Yea Thats What My Friend Told Me Too Get Too He Owns I Think And 04 Or 06 Mirage, So Its Really Good On Turns?
So Meaning By Rough?
So The Handleling And Road Feels Preety Good Not Too Bumby?
On a rough road, it's kinda jarring, but on a smooth road it's awesome. Try to get a ride in one and see what you think. There a quite a few guys from Cali on here. I'm sure they wouldn't mind.
As far as the intake goes, you would be better off getting one for the 5s. The one for the turbo motor comes with a bunch of stuff you don't need. Before I did my swap I had an ebay tube and K&N filter and it worked like a charm.
If I remember correctly, my shifter was about 80 bucks on ebay.
yea i have too fine who stay like by me too check it out, basically anything suspesion on bumby roads feels rough lol.
right now i have an intake it came with i but i wanna get a new one because this one is kind of old,
how much u get ur engine for?
yea thats probably how much i could get it in toyota on employe price
My swap cost about 2000, labor included. I basically bought the whole donor car, but it was pretty trashed besides the motor. Not really worth keeping.
The motor had about 90,000 miles on it. The car had been flipped and then sat in a junkyard for a couple years with no glass in it, so the interior was ruined. The guy who I got it from neglected to mention any of that until I was pretty much obligated to get it. I still got a pretty good deal though, haven't had any problems with it-knock on wood.
If you mean the car for the swap, I think the car was 1200 and labor 800. If you mean my car, I got it from a dealership in '99 for 8500. It only had 65,000 miles on it and was showroom condition.
Not sure, my car is the only MR2 I've ridden in so I can't really say anything about another suspension setup. If they're adjustable like the KYBs are, you should be able to find a reasonable setting.
