Gen1 help with a few small problems please

this is my first post on this website so sorry if i sound like i dont know what im talking about, but here are my problems. the non-power antenna of my 1986 mr2 has completely snapped off. now i get bad radio reception and i dont know what to do. should i go to a junk yard? ebay? is it going to be expensive to get installed? any info helps. also, whenever i drive on the freeway air enters my car due to bad window tracking. i believe all i need is a new track, but im not sure what else it could be. is a new track expensive? my high school auto class teacher recommended i ask any questions on a toyota forum, so i hope you all have some helpful info for me. thanks

You can buy a new power antenna at WalMart for around $25.00. They aren't hard to install and take minimum tools.
As for your window, I'll have to let a Gen 1 owner answer that one for you.

thanks for the post mr2 bad but would i really be able to install the antenna, seeing as how it has to be routed through to the deck? also theres some random parts that were left in the track when the antenna snapped off. does thta matter?

p.s. why did the title of my post turn bold with a blue fast forward symbol next to it?

You should be able to use the antenna cable behind the deck just like it is. I t should lead to the power antenna.

Those parts need to be removed and the new unit put in it's place.

It appears when there are additional posts to your thread.
If you click on that, it will take you to the last unread post.

a little advice:
try a glass shop for your window track. a body shop would be a close second for places to go. the glass shop will know how to adjust/replace your track and they will also have the parts or can order them as needed. a body shop's labour pricing is much less than a Toyota technician if you go that route.
