Hydraulic Clutch Line Fitting Size

Hey guys, me again, So we're going to get this car home this evening, so I don't have the car infront of me yet. Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of fittings the 3sgte uses on the hydraulic clutch line. I was planning on going to mopac here today and picking one up so this week I can just swap it out and solve that problem.

Thanks.

This is OEM part #. Maybe they can do a cross check and get you the right part from there. Or you can always go to the dealer.

Yeah thats a tough one, would they even know the fitting size on them? The part is just the entire line, I wanted to make my own.

I believe it just uses standard hydraulic brake line.

I know that, I just need to know what size of fittings they use on each end.

I just installed a new clutch. Visually, it looks like a standard fitting(coupling).

It's from the Toyota OEM parts Data base. It's in the sticky on the 1st page of MR2 forum for you to see and use. It has proven right so far. Local auto shops should carry starndard brake line for you make one. You were saying you're gonna fabricate one in your other thread didn't you? Or did I misunderstand?

I was just thinking of using braided line instead of hard lines.

I would think that would be fine. Not to mention easier to work with because of flexability and good looking too.

just go into the parts store.... tell them you need a slave or a master... have them pull it, then go find the hardline that fits......

I don't want a hardline, and I don't need a slave or master cylinder. The place that sells the braided line doesn't sell the cylinders either.

I bought some braided line at Mopac, but all they had was female ends, I did find some adapters, but just wondering if the adapters are even going to work... Do they need to have that taper/bevels ferrule at the ends? the adapter does not have that, its more of just a straight edge, the other end however, does have that taper at the end.

...... never said you had to buy anything.....

you're not always going to get the answers you want or need online.... there are other ways of getting answers.... telling them you need a master or slave clutch cylinder, them pulling the part, then matching it to their hardline is a very easy thing to do.... all part stores should have hardline and most will have slave cylinders on hand.... IE the answer is easily accessible....

adapters will work, but keep in mind that we have BSP sizes.
