Just Finished My Rebuild

Finished my rebuild a week ago. Just installed it over the weekend. Built it in the livingroom. MY G/F was not happy...

3sgte blocked bored and honed .040 over
JE forged pistons 9:0-1 C/R
Pro Seal Rings
New main and rod bearings and seals
Head rebuilt: valve grind, seals, and shims.
Resurfaced OEM Ex. Manifold
New ATS CT27 Turbo
ATS 3" downpipe
KO 3" dual exit exhaust
Greddy IC
9" spal fan
New IC piping
Straight thru Throttlebody intake
Spec Clutch
Fidanza 12 lb chromoly flywheel
Stainless Steel Braided Lines 3/8" & 1/4"
New oil pump
ATS Knock sensor
Oil Catch Can
Already had HKS turbo Timer and Greddy Profec II EBC.
TRD Short shifter, KYB 4 way Adj. Struts.
And I did the brakes on all 4 corners. replaced the left rear wheel bearings.
and various other nuts, bolts, gaskets, etc.

In the livingroom

Installed.
I did it all by myself, but I think there were a couple of times I wish someone was there to help.
This is my 1st total rebuild of a turbocharged engine. The old school V8's, In Line 6's,
my '68 Triumph GT6 , Datsun 510, VW bug and the others I have done were alot simpler.!!!!! Alot less sh*t!

Took it for a few test drives. I'm very happy with it.After the break in period, I will take a trip to the Dyno and see where it's at.. Then install the Truleo intake manifold.
Anyway, several of you here helped with some good advice and tips.
I appreciate you all. Couldn't have done it with out you and TN.

I really just wanted it to be blue and silver. But the plug wires only come in red and I've had that red straight thru throttlebody inlet for about 5 years. I will replace that yellow vacuum line with either blue or black. I've spent 4K in the past 4 months on it...The Turbo, Clutch, flywheel and head work alone was 2K! I'm broke right now.

Hah, I'll tell you about being broke. In the past year I've spent around $1500 on my car and only about $300-400 of that was on performance-oriented parts...the rest was on repairs...

AND I'm on a college-kid budget...

Yea, I want/need to start saving for my 5VZ swap... I'm going to start it slowly, but I need to at least start on it...all I have right now is a transmission...that needs a rebuild...

I'm not familiar with that engine. Is that a V6? What is the donor vehicle?

Good job! That will be a good solid engine once it's broken in. What PSI are you planning on running the turbo at?

The 5VZE is a 3.4L V6 from trucks and 4Runners. They swap in place of the 3VZ[F]E so it should be the same amount of trouble as a normal V6 swap into a mk2. It's a better engine than the 3VZs.

Next time you're in the market for plug wires, TwosRUs sells blue STI wires. I'm going for a blue/silver theme myself so I picked a set up and they have worked as well as stock for me.

Thanks Ben,
Scott over at ATS said I can run 17psi safely with my current set up and 93 octane gas.
Oh cool about the blue plug wires. These OEM's should be good for a few more months, then I'll get those. How much did you pay for them?
