Replacing brake light...help!

Okay, first off I want to be able to save face a little.

I'm 19. I have had my 91 N/A MR2 for just over a year, and in that time I have had to replace the clutch, timing belt, distributor... and the whole engine. So I have already seen under the skirt of my two quite a bit.

But...i cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the passenger side break light. I know, I know its probably the simplest thing. But the only way i see that break light assembly coming off is either prying it off with a flat head screwdriver, or there is the place where the lights plug in in the trunk. But i feel like those would break if i try to unplug them. Am i missing something? Please reply, with pics if possible.

THANK YOU!!!!

You have to pry off the corner light piece. There are 2 screws in there that hold it on, and 2 clips by the trunk that snap off. You can kinda push the corner piece forward and work a screwdriver in there. Be careful, though, it cracks easily.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. But still. If anyone has pictures that they took doing this replacement, that would be great. I'm kind of a visual guy.

like he said, its pretty self explanitory. You just put a flathead between the corner light and the rear light and pry the corner one foward and it pops out. Then there are screws behind it.

I didn't even need a scredriver to get this piece off, just push it towards the front of the car and you can see the tab that holds it in from the back.

These are my old '92 lights, I had to take the bars for the clips off to use on my '94+ lights, so I'm pointing to where the metal part that clips in would go. There is another one to the right. Once you get the screws out of the side piece, just pull straight back fromthe rear of the car, should pop off.
