MR 2 Best turbo intake .

What is the best intake for mr2 JDM CT 20 Turbo ?

HKS Megaflow? Is this good?

Everyone says that K&N is the best , is it?

I am willing to spend up to $200.00

I've heard lots of bad things about the filtration of the HKS. I've also heard that the filter material degrades and can get sucked in to the engine. I haven't heard of any problems with K&N.

I have a HKS mushroom but I'm planning on swapping it out.

Intakes aren't as important on turboed cars as they are on NA cars. As I mentioned in your other thread on this topic, I recommend going with K&N.

I'd probably also recommend putting the money into a different mod. What do you have done to the car now?

I've got an HKS Super Mega Flow. It doesn't really make much of a performance difference, spool seems a little quicker and the car seems a tiny bit quicker, but all my info is butt-dyno only. One thing I can say for sure is, it SOUNDS freaking sweet.

I merged your 2 threads. They were pretty much the same thing-making it a double post. Which is a no no

I have a K&N cone filter . It's the only one I've tried since removing the stock air box, but besides being able to hear the turbo spooling up (very cool),I think it has better throttle response and the fact that you can clean it and reuse it is a big plus.
