'91 MR2 Engine in a '90 GT-S Celica?

I bought a 90 GT-S Celica.
I was told it has a '91 MR2 engine in it, and it does. It looks exactly like the 5SFE as far as I can tell. But I dont know if there where similar engines in the MR2's or diferent versions of this engine in them (And I do not know what the 4AGE looks like, is it similar in appearance?).

So I am wondering, this should definatley be the 5SFE 2.2L 130HP Engine that the Celi GT-S normally has correct?

And if so, my other questions would be, is the Red Line exactly the same on these 2 cars? My celica is at 6250. And where would I find the VIN number on the MR2 Engine? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The Mr2 does come with an 5SFE so it is very possible. Perhaps a picture of your engine bay and a picture of a normal celica's engine bay could help. I am willing to be some of the accessories are in different places. The GT-S Celica would have an 5SFE aswel.

Nipomo?

Nipomo? You're not too far from me. These are the same engines, and I have heard of people interchanging them, so I bet most of the components are in the same place.

same same. MR2 Turbo and Celica All-Trac share the 3SGTE too. Sorry, can't remember what the minor differences are. Check the all trac forum or the big mr2 forum.
