Complete Suspension Upgrade - Recommendations

Hello all,

I am a new board member and I have recently purchased a 1991 MR2 Turbo. I am still very excited about my purchase and I definitely intend to keep this car for a life time. My tires have worn out so I am looking to purchase new tires and wheels. However, while I'm at it I decided to go ahead and buy parts in order to upgrade the stock suspension as well. Here's what I have purchased thus far and what I am planning on getting. Please let me know if I should buy anything else in addition or if I am more or less set to go. Again, thanks in advance and I look forward to your expertise.

Purchased -
Koni Sport Cartridge (SHOCKS/STRUTS) Front and Rear
Eibach PRO Kit Spring Set
Eibach Alignment Kit

Looking to Purchase - (need advice)

Either Suspension Techniques Sway Bar (Front and Rear) OR Tanabe Sustec Sway Bar (Front and Rear) what do you guys think? Is one better than the other?

Polyurethane Bushings (I'm not sure how many I need...I'm guessing 2 front and 2 rear?)

Genuine Toyota Front Ball joints

As far as tires and wheels go I'm looking to buy a set of

Front: 195/55/15x6
Rear: 225/50/15x7

Again, please let me know if there is anything else that is critical to upgrade for my 91 Turbo suspension. I have read a lot of info from other sites and just registered to this forum community in order to get some opinions and of course to do the best for my car! Thanks again in advance!

Sounds like a plan. It all sounds good.
Are you wanting to stay with 15" rims? I would suggest- 7"rim width in front with a +35 offset and a 205 tire
9" width in rear with a+30 offset and a 245 tire. This will make it flush.
And Welcome to The Forum

Thanks for the welcome. The reason for the 15" is that I do not want to trade performance for looks. The stock 91 T comes with 14" rims and I was going to bump it up 1" and mimic the upgrade of the 95 T. I do not want to go outrageous in size and I want to focus on performance/ride quality vs. looks. Also, a 205 and 245 sounds pretty aggressive, although I like that I will definitely look into that and see if it'll work for me. Again, those Eibach springs already lower the "already low" MR 2 by 1 full inch. I want to make sure there is no rubbing.

Lastly, I have researched some more on the ST bar versus the Tanabe bar and have found out that the Tanabe bar is 15 lbs lighter. Even though this is the case, I think I'm going with ST since a lot of people have already done it and are happy with the performance/feel. I'll be looking to call in my order later on today and hopefully get it all set and done by next week.

I'll definitely keep you guys updated and I'll post some pics.

Anybody know where I can buy polyurethane bushings for my 91 MR2 T?
Specifically for front and rear control arm. Help greatly appreciated.
